Rated 5 out of 5 by from As advertisedI bought this pack to carry with me on long multi-pitched climbs and have since used it for multiple climbs, hikes, and mountain bike excursions. The pack is big enough to hold my entire rack plus water for the approach and rope is easily held with the side straps. I really appreciate the abrasion resistant material so I'm not worried about damaging the pack. I was concerned the thin shoulder straps would cut into me on longer approaches, but this proved to be a non-issue. I appreciate the easy opening. In summary the Skyline 23 has done everything I wanted it to and I have no complaints. Excellent pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bag for all your climbing needs!I climb indoors with my wife going back and forth between top rope and bouldering. We were struggling with all of our equipment in other bags often enough due to the stickiness of the shoes and the harnesses. This bag fits two pairs of shoes, two adult harnesses, one kid's harness, and three chalk bags with space left for a hydro flask and snacks. I'm excited to see the bag grow with me as I start to lead climb and acquire more equipment and rope. The material is tough and the blue is super vibrant. Absolutely love this bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple LoveI just took my new skyline 23 pack for a hike to a favorite old train tressel and did some repealing. It's simple but yet does everything I wanted it to by the way love the rope lashing points on top. I do wish it had another outside pocket or two I feel there's some wasted space. It's a very ruggedized pack due to the 1000D material. Great product I expected nothing less keep up the good work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FunctionalPurchased 6 weeks ago. Well constructed. Packed full of useful features for a day pack. Dual grab handles are great for carrying or clipping the bag into anchor 200 feet up. The rip top provides easy access without the hassle of spilling your gear. The size is perfect for day trips and discourages over packing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Skyline-23If your looking for a cram and go pack then this is a good choice. Ordered 2 because the price was right and colors were acceptable unlike other expensive Mystery Ranch packs w/the kaki or Multicam which I hate. Wearing those colors everyday in the Army is enough for me, don’t want it on my daily use gear. My girl was happy with the Skyline-23 in Tiger Orange and I got the blk. We only been using them for about 3weeks and the 1000D is what it is “durable”, but the material on the back and shoulder straps of the packs feel pretty cheep not like the rest of the material which is pretty well made. We’re not climbers and we got these for our daily grind so I’m overall happy with them. If I were to complain I would have to say they need more pockets, a bottle holder for water, or wallet etc. Im having molle sewn to mine because I can’t live without that option although initially I thought I could. And also the shoulder straps which probably won’t hold up to some of the stuff I do with my other packs like weighted force marches.Which is the main reason I didn’t give these packs 5 ⭐️’s. For an urban option I think this pack is right on but I’ll stick to my Maxpedition for my outdoor needs. These did the trick for my daily gym or run though and you get a quality pack for the money. I’d purchase again if had to do it all over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well PurposedI bought this pack about a year ago when I started taking more gear to the crag. This pack holds all of my climbing gear plus a 32 oz Nalgene, a small med kit, and some other gear (and snacks). I have not had a single problem or come across any limiting factor with this pack for what I use it for: climbing, which is what it was designed for. I own several other Mystery Ranch packs, and I am happy to say that this holds up to the quality of what they are known for.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Appealing aesthetic, weirdly designed wasted spaceNot what I expected after using Mystery Ranch's firefighting packs for years. Without going into too much detail, it is oddly setup with a lot of wasted space where I would expect pockets to be. It is designed for a lumbar hydration pack, not the regular upright rectangular type. Its not terrible but maybe they should stick to industrial and not consumer end/"urban" packs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Single Track MotoI bought this for day rides. I usually carry about 15 to 20 lbs: tools 3 liters of gas and 1.5L of water and sometimes a lunch. This pack is really tough. The 1000 denier is what sold me on it. I've put about 500 miles on it. I haven't had any real good crashes, but I think it will really hold up over time. It is very compact and sits tightly in the high center of my back when riding. It's very stable through small jumps, whoops, chop, and turns. I'm not at all worried about getting hooked on trees or tight brush with this pack. I did switch out the waist belt with a 1.5 inch belt, which was very easy to swap out. The belt sits high and the shoulder straps are too tight, but after dropping the sternum strap as low as I could, It rides comfortable enough on 100 mi 3 hr rides. On longer rides/heavier loads, my shoulders get sore, but balanced with its rugged construction this is a compromise I am willing to make at this time. I use a 1.5 liter bladder bag that works great with the packs features. I was able to strap my License plate onto existing loops via para cord and quick clips. 6foot tall 220lbs.
