Modular and versatile.
The SC 34 was built with advice and input from B.C. Wildfire Service and our friends in the Squirrel Cage in downtown L.A. It was developed with two groups of end users in mind: International Wildland personnel that don’t have a fire shelter requirement and USAR teams that need a 72-hour solution.
- Includes Shift Frame Modified shift base system (standalone)
- Shift System compatible pack for International Fire, SAR (Search and Rescue), and USAR (Urban Search and Rescue) markets where a fire shelter is not required
- Three components combined to form the fundamental innovation that makes the Shift System truly unique: its Operational Load Shelf.
- First, the Fire-specific yoke features our patented Futura adjustment system to telescopically adjust to any user’s torso length, but reduces its footprint width by 2” to maximize ventilation and body heat dispersion.
- Second, the mid- and lumbar portion of the pack are built with continuous HDPE and fiberglass stay framing to bridge load distribution evenly from the yoke through to the hips and core.
- The zippered removable MOLLE-on Wing pockets hold up to three fuel bottles, three FSS canteen/water bottles, two 40oz water bottle, two 48oz Nalgene, and three 30oz Sigg bottles, or one 64oz water bottle growler per side
- Zippered Fusee pockets (both sides) above four rows of PALS webbing for accessory connection
- Includes a modified Shift Frame base system where the overload storage and pocket double as a load shelf. The Stick-it secures overload goods to the load shelf when bag is removed.
- Back, side zip access to floating, padded sleeve that fits laptops up to 15” and document/tablet sleeve pocket also doubles as a hydration sleeve
- Loop system for attaching MR Stick It, and makes it Med Lid, Big 10 Lid, or Hot Lid compatible
- Two internal removable medical or accessory pockets
- Fully adjustable Fire Yoke telescopes to fit any torso length, includes sliplocks on shoulder pads for adding saw pad and MR Talk Box accessories
- All body-facing components built with spacer mesh materials for moisture transfer and body heat dispersion
- Fire Belt Light system featuring 2” re-direct webbing and PALS web for MOLLE accessories
- Pinstripe reflective ribbon

Rated 5 out of 5 by FireWoRx1 from Awesome packI bought two of these packs a month ago - one for myself and another for a senior crew leader. We are the most northern wildfire contract crew in British Columbia Canada and these packs have been outstanding so far! I am really impressed with how it fits and the load it takes. We have definitely tested these packs in rugged terrain, rain, and on our other jobs in the bush and we find them to be excellent. So excellent that we are buying two more of them for our crew!

Rated 5 out of 5 by B C from Extremely versatile, highly organizedWe are an IA Helitack Crew for the State of Colorado who also does a fair share of SAR missions. We decided to try the SHIFT SC pack out in 2023 and let me tell you... This pack is awesome. Customizable for different mission profiles, the storage in the main pack is a game changer. U style zipper on the main pack.. Internal/external pockets and zippers for streamlined organization.. It fits a Large fire shelter in the zippered bottom. You can stuff a rain jacket or a hard hat in the external "lid".. It wears the same as the Hotshot but way more customizable options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ErikMM from Great for trail workVersatile. Great alternative for trail work as it can become a bucket pack and is great for chainsaw transport. Way better than the evoc or dakine trail work bags imo as I had both, neither as adjustable nor comfortable. Love the wing pockets use them all the time, as well as the inner organizers. Works well for mountain biking too as the back top rides lower than osprey to give your helmet room to move, especially on steeper slopes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Thurt from Not ideal for wildland or SARI just moved over to a helitack crew that does SAR as well. We use these exclusively. The most uncomfortable pack for wildland and we don't use packs for SAR since we are attached to the helicopter and we fly while ground SAR teams search. These packs will wreck your back if you wear and use them like the Hotshot packs. I love the Hotshot TLs. This one is sub-optimal.
